While we cannot currently attend Sunday Mass, we are encouraged to do the following:
The Lord does not expect the impossible of you. There is no sin if you are unable to attend Mass (Code of Canon Law, 1248.2; Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2181). My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen. (Pause for silent prayer) and thanksgiving be every moment thine! (Repeat 3 times.) |
