First Communion and Reconciliation

Reconciliation and First Communion 2026

Our parishes are a bit behind in their planning for First Communions compared to others, so no dates for meetings and First Communion have been set yet.

Going on previous years, I would expect the dates/plan to be something like:

• Applications - November/December

• Intro meeting for parents - January

• Series of 6-9 meetings for children (and sometimes parents) - February to May, on Sundays, alternating between Long Eaton (before 11am Mass) and Beeston (after 9.30am Mass)

• First Reconciliation - April or May

• First Communion - June (around time of Corpus Christi feast day)

The initial dates will appear in the newsletter when known. There will be an expectation of regular attendance at weekend Mass
