Jesus Is Taken Down From The Cross And Placed In The Arms Of His Mother
We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world
Jesus’ earthly life ended as it began, in the arms of his saintly Mother. Her life is a testament to each one of us who would pursue the Christian life. Stay close to the Lord in life, in suffering and in death, recognizing that His sacrifice has set us free.
“Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death”
I love you, Jesus, my love above all things,
And I repent with my whole heart of having offended you.
Never permit me to separate myself from you again,
Grant that I may love you always, and then do with me what you will.
